Jedi, sorry to hear of your problems. I've had an EMG w/nerve conduction series on my left arm for a cervical problem and it was uncomfortable, but tolerable. I've heard others say that they were very uncomfortable, so it may depend where (on the body) its being done..and how much nerve damage you have.


Hopefully, the results of your EMG will allow you to be seen by an endo or at very least get another opinion from another internist. Those numbers are too high for the amount of metformin you're taking.

Are you watching your carbs? Guess exercise is difficult with the foot pain. Keep us posted on the results of your test.

Enalapril 20 mg 1 daily (ace-inhibitor)
Lower carb dieter (approx. 75 total carbs/day, more on weekends), taking chromium, multivitamin and fish oil tablets


Initial A1C 8/06: 9.6
11/06: 6.2.
03/07: 5.3
06/07: 5.4
10/07: 5.3
05/08: 6.2 (right after dealing with shingles and bronchitis)
