How to deal with a diffcult doc!

Hi Xmenace: "Have you asked him why you are taking more than the recommended maximum dose of metformin? Your pharmacist is ok with this? Or are you doing it on your own"?

Yes it is his idea has told me that this is the limit for Metformin, feels that my numbers are ok (see orig. post by me)??? Also said if I have any side effects with 6x500 I could cut back to 4x500 a day. I don't agree I feel these problems require a referral!!!)(he has said my feet shouldn't be bothering me as much as they are,but refuses to send me to an endo!!!) Also told me Metformin doesn't promote weight gain as other meds do(I forget names) I've been able to lose 35ilbs he is concerned I'd gain some of it back.I hope this answers your questions. Thanks for your help
