When I went to get contact lenses a couple of years ago, right after a weekend celebrating my 40th birthday (didn't get a whole pile of sleep

) the optician said my eyes were dry and recommended using Liposic gel (not when contacts are in).

I have kept some at home ever since, very soothing and works a treat. Not sure if it is available where you are but here is some info on the stuff Liposic

Do check with your Doctor/Optician before using it.
