I am glad I caught it too. Gout was called the rich man's disease as it was eating too much rich or salty foods, along with lack of sweat type exercise. Though doing a lot of hard physical labor in the summer heat was my last minor episode. I had drank over a gallon of water that day but it was not fast enough. A little rest and another gallon of water and I was better. I wasn't until a hour after the second gallon that I had to pee for the first time that day. I guess I was a few quarts low.
