It's amazingly easy to neglect to treat a hypo sometimes. For instance, I've just had a bit of a low because I was trying not to offend my cleaner!! Had just cycled home and felt a bit low and popped two just-in-case jelly beans. But then I got caught up talking to my cleaner, who is Chinese and has very little English. Neither do I speak Chinese. She was evidently distraught because she comes from the province that was devastated by the earthquake. She was trying to tell me her news and I didn't want to interrupt her because what she was saying was so important. So I stood there - within reach of the fridge! - politely feeling my BG drop. By the time she left - probably ten minutes later - I felt wretched. But I got over it! Yet I wish I wouldn't do that and that I could put myself first in those situations cos she'd have been even more distressed had I collapsed in front of her. Anyway, I trust you feel better now, Cormac!
