Interesting article… Vitamin (B1) deficiency a factor in complications?

Hi All,

I remember reading this interesting article last year and managed to dig it out. This also appeared on the TV through BBC (links below)

Like most things you can’t be sure how accurate all of this is, but I thought that I would go out and buy some Vitamin B1 aka Thiamine after a little research of my own (more around if it’s harmful to take etc).

I have been taking one a day since then and figure that it can’t harm me and the worst that could happen is that my pee turns a funky luminous colour (which is hasn’t). I know this isn’t an amazing cure of any kind but if the research in the article is correct and by somehow taking this supplement can help then why not.

This is my first real post and hope this is somehow relevant here

Any thoughts are welcome

Tim
