Vent away Becks, that also helps bring down the #s as it releaves stress. So sorry to hear of your many problems, praying for a break for you.
Remember our bodies take time to adjust. And our eyes are a part of that procedure. How old is your granddaughter? Is there no neighbor, friend or relative who can help with transportation to school?
Just know we all went through med adjustments and it was not easy and making the life style changes are hard as well but hold the fort. You did not become diabetic over night and you will not stablizer overnight but it will come with time.
