For those of you with Type 1 taking Metformin, how much are you taking? I am now on 1000 mg/day and have not had any adverse side effects. However, my body sems to be getting used to the Metformin and I am becoming Insulin Resistant again (initially, since I have so little carbs, I wasn't even needing to take Levemir with my meals because the Metformin was working so well). I have been on Metformin for about 6 weeks now.
