| My question is why would a doctor put a type 1 on a type 2 drug like janumet which when combined helps the cells take insulin helps the pancreas produce insulin and stops the liver from producing glucose. I take Januvia it doesn't work well enough to merit all the side effects when consider a type would only benefit from the part that stops the liver from producing glucose. If it was me and I was type 1 there is no way I would take a drug that can shut down my liver and or kidneys and cause keytoacidoses. IMHO
