Fell WAY off the wagon this weekend....

For those who might faint at my following food descriptions... proceed with caution

I decided to not worry and eat like I used to for this weekend. Sun afternoon and evening I had the following

Salad, white potatoes, brushetta (sp) with white bread (from Trader Joe's), BBQ ribs, and a huge slab of chocolate eclair cake. Alcohol consumption was not moderated either. I had 4 16oz Miller Lites, one mini bottle of white zinfandel, and a few diet Dr Pepper's w/rum. The next morning, I had scrambled eggs, bacon, white bread toast, and more eclair cake. As munchies both days I had tortilla chips w/artichoke spinach dip. After the memorial day parade, I had a few fuzzy navels and a couple of more beers. For Monday evening I had a turkey burger with the 30g carb bun and more salad (and 4 Corona Light beers later that eveing by the fire). I also smoked about half a pack of cigarettes on Sun eve/Mon afternoon. I almost NEVER smoke anymore. Only on special outings a couple of times a year.

I didn't want to even KNOW what my total carb intake was or take a reading even if I was near a meter which I wasn't. I figure if I was only at 102 for three weeks on my dad's home meter maybe way back in March and have had normal readings ever since, just maybe I am not pre-D after all and can indulge once in a while. I still intend to eat low carb and exercise 90% of the time and have a splurge of regular eating for a two-three day stretch once a month or less when I visit my friends.

If my blood sugar is still at normal levels at the lab in the fall (It was 99 at the lab last Dec) then I probably am going to be fine.

Well I lived "dangerously" but had a blast and can't live with my strict eating 100% of the time. That's just not "living" in my book.
