Pretty sure the the colour of the egg makes little/no difference... Arauncanas lay blue eggs. Fresh eggs are a world of difference from store bought... the whites are white and the yolks is almost orange and stays high when you crack them... instead of spreading out. A home flock allows you some control over what they eat... depends if you let them free range or keep in a pen... and no need to use antibiotics or clip their beaks, etc...

I agree that what many dietitians advise is not the latest thinking as we discuss it here on DF, but I don't think that makes it invalid advice. They are a useful resource for teaching how to read labels and count carbs. We also slam many Doctors' advice on here but I don't think that as a generalisation, Doctors advice is invalid.

Obesity and Type 2 are strongly associated. Most people assume that Obesity is the cause and Diabetes the effect. It is equally valid to suggest that the underlying metabolic disorder which leads to the Type 2 causes the Obesity.
