I'm just curious...as it's been years since I attended a basically out-of-date education class. (Filled with more spouses of diabetics than actual diabetics to my dismay)...

How did they approach the subject of "sugar". I hope it was not labeled with a childlike "no no" or "bad"...but instead discussed as a carb. It does sound like you discussed carb choices, but I find the subject of sugar seems to be either avoided from a "morality" issue...or just bounced over.

Sounds like you had an excellent class. You are lucky.
