Great question on sugar! She did address sugar in the diet. She follows what she is taught by the ADA guidelines and she said sugar doesn't need to be a no-no, just be careful how much you allow. Only an individual can judge how much they can tolerate. She never told us to avoid sugar. Since I'm really new at this, I have stopped all my bad eating habits and am learning new good habits. Sugar, bad fats and bad carbs are off my food list. I am replacing with whole grains, fruits, veggies and lean meats.
