I attend weekly for the weigh-in's...I don't really consider it a diet as I strongly believe this is how most people should eat. (They don't like to call it a diet either)

On the other hand, my point allotment for the day is only about 19 which I find difficult to live with some days when I need to correct for low's...so I sort of use the weigh-in and watch my own portion sizes.

It is a good reminder to not snack excessively and ask yourself "why am I about to eat those nacho's"....etc. I also eat much less than I did a year ago...I've lost about 6 lbs solid but trying to lose a total of 13 or so....so yes, it's been beneficial to me.

I think it's excellent for diabetics...just don't listen to the "I am cured" stories people like to tell...I don't bring up my Type 1 in class, as most people know enough to be dangerous about diabetes. But, I have met several Type 2's and we talk "off to the side" about doctors, Byetta, and such. Nice people.
