I'm not a big fan of organized, pay for it weight loss groups. I've tried both Weight Watchers and TOPS. And with both gained back more than I lost as soon as I drifted away from the group. With TOPS it was costing me more than just the meetings, we always went out for a meal afterwards...and lots of the folks were blowing a week's worth of eating well in that one night. Plus there were all the little gifts and cards that seemed to be required to show support for other members. Weight Watchers didn't have that part of it though, and their food plan is very balanced.

I seem to be doing better doing my own thing this time. Keeping a journal, that I record basic food intake, blood sugar, blood pressure & weight is really helping to keep me on track.
