Paradigm 522 temp. basal question?

I recently switched from a Paradigm 512 to a 522, and have noticed something weird with the temporary basal feature. I'm wondering if other users can confirm or deny my observations.

I set my temporary basal (TB) as a percentage of my "normal" basal, rather than in units/hour. If I set a TB using percentages, I cannot edit the percentage or duration once it has started. I must cancel the TB, and start a new one at the new percentage or duration. Now, it makes sense to me that I can't edit my normal basal, since that's what the TB is being calculated from. But I can't edit the TB duration?!?!

Minimed says that this is normal, but, for the life of me, I can't understand why they'd do this. FWIW, my 512 would let me edit the duration "on the fly", although IIRC, I couldn't change the percentage.

Has anyone else dealt with this or figured out a way around it? I'm hesitant to use units/hour for TB, simply because my rates change throughout the day, and I'd prefer to not have to reset the TB to account for every time my normal rate increases or decreases.

Thanks in advance!
