| It wasn't so much he was telling me to switch, it was more like, "when you're looking for a new pump, there are some other good options out there, and for my two cents, I like the Animas". He also mentioned some dislike, both on his part, and from some of his other patients, that MiniMed has become much less patient-care oriented, and more business minded (his words were "sell-sell-sell"). I am sure this is only his limited experience, and I have always had good interactions with MiniMed, but I do think those types of things are important when I choose my company. Also, just as an aside, I am about to begin my second year of medical school, and I want to keep my eyes and ears open about those sorts of things so I can make appropriate and conscientious recommendations to my own patients one day. |
