I'm not as familiar with the West Hill as the East one, and specifically, what is now Covington. I grew up out there on Crest Airpark. It's a municipal airport that also has residential streets. My dad was a Certified Flying Instructor and now he builds planes for fun. Oh the joys of being retired.

He (and my mother) live in Lewiston, ID now, though, so they're not too far away. I do still have family in Kent, though. I graduated from Kentwood High School, and my dad graduated from KM.
I know what you mean about driving in snow. And yes, Eastern WA does get more of that for sure. I've gotten a LOT better driving in all sorts of weird weather conditions that change on a minute-to-minute basis (literally!) since moving here. And what's really odd is that even though Colfax is only about 16 miles from Pullman, I'd have NO clue what the weather was doing in Pullman when I left the house.
As for the 4th, I'll try and send some of our 95+ degree heat your way!

) Send us the rain!
