Posibly! But! Starting over from a better place... because as you gain experience and confidence you will know what you are doing more and more, be more confident in what needs adjusting, if your requirements change again.

Also, you may well find that inherent instability that can plague us with MDI will seriously improve, as you strike the right chords with your insulin requirements. Looking back I realise a lot of my variability on MDI had so much to do with the "ripple" effect of constant fluctuations. (Largely caused by an inability to meet basal needs with long acting). As you iron those fluctuations out for longer periods of time, you really might be suprised at the new, calmer picture emerging.
