| I follow up with the internist who diagnosed me, and have had no problems thus far. However, if/when I start insulin I would definitely want to be seen by an endocrinologist. I feel most of us T2's are "thrown to the wolves" as far as being given adequate information by our docs, so if taking insulin (or if something happened and my meds became ineffective), i'd want to learn from the experts.
In general, i've learned far more about diabetes here than from my doctor.

Lower carb dieter (approx. 75 total carbs/day, more on weekends), taking chromium, multivitamin and fish oil tablets Initial A1C 8/06: 9.6
11/06: 6.2.
03/07: 5.3
06/07: 5.4
10/07: 5.3
05/08: 6.2 (after dealing with shingles & bronchiti)
