Hi Rohit, Welcome to DF! Glad you found us.

A fasting Blood Sugar (BS) of 265 (mg/dl??) is way above normal and a likely indicator of Diabetes but I am not a Doctor nor do I know the rest of your medical history. A high BS is going to damage many parts of your body in time: eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart, blood vessels etc... and is to be avoided. I'm not sure where you live so it is hard to advise about insurance and employment after a diagnosis but I strongly suggest that your health is the most important consideration.

Obesity and Type 2 are strongly associated. Most people assume that Obesity is the cause and Diabetes the effect. It is equally valid to suggest that the underlying metabolic disorder which leads to the Type 2 causes the Obesity.
