Well, it has been a while since I have posted here. I have been lurking and reading from time to time. I posted here since I had a similar question.

First off, doing real well, my DR today complented me on my control, I was a nice round 100 when they finger stick tested me. I have to wait for the A1C results from the lab. Weight was stable, and no significant problems. Meds the same and he gave me a year of refills and come back in 6 mos.

But here is a question I asked him and got a strange answer.

At bedtime and sometimes when I am laying down, I get a pain in my lower legs. Not sharp but a low grade pain, get real restless twitching and an odd feeling like when you have cut off your cirulation. My legs and feet are not cold to the touch and it passes after a while.

He said this is common with diabetes and a quick remedy is tonic water and to be sure you keep hydrated. I am the King of Hydration so not sure if that is it or not.

Anyone else experience this or heard of the symptoms and suggested remedy?
