| I've been doing some research to help a friend who is considering going to a pump. I wasn't taken by the older Animas' but I am really liking them now. Plus I really like that pink color! My current pump (MM722) was picked up Aug 2005 (though I paid the upgrade fee a year ago to add the cgms...but I don't think this matters as far as insurance goes...) So that would mean the end of next summer I could go for it maybe? My old insurance covered for this one though, so maybe I could get a new one now? Not sure. Either way... as soon as Animas and Dexcom have cgms working with the pump... I'm jumping ship to Animas.
Quote from Animas...
"Upgrade program
You get automatic access to the latest advancements in OneTouch® pumping technology*, including continuous glucose monitoring (an advancement that is already in the works, thanks to our partnership with DexCom™)."
My current concern about the DexCom7 is the waterproofness...it seems to be lacking. "Water resistant (up to 3 feet for 30 minutes)" according to DexCom's site.
