Balanced? What do you mean by balanced? Are you able to eat that version of a "balanced" diet, anyway? Don't worry too much if the general way of eating that you arrive at being healthy for you is not what some of the rest of the world calls "balanced." Eat what is healthy for YOU.

I do take exactly that vitamin brand, except that I have recently changed to one of their formulae with without iron, as I do not need that much iron anymore.

I also take separately thiamine (B-1) and biotin (another B vit?). Many type 2s take a combo pill of various B vitamins.

Don't forget that also in Centrum and other brand name "vitamin tablets" are an assortment of minerals. Many are also including a tiny amount of phyto chemicals which may be helpful.

I think my Centrum has no discernable immediate effect on my BG. The general recommendation at my doctor's office is that all Type 2's take a multivitamin. I presume there are some people who for one reason or another are not given that recommendation.
