Exclamation Nasty Tooth Infection

OK everyone,

I had a filling replaced in a rear molar 4 weeks ago. After 3 weeks I started getting severe pain that radiated to my jaw and up the side of my face. Dentist said that the tooth that was filled had died, was infected and I had a Abscessed Tooth. It has been three days, and the pain in my tooth has brought me to my knees and made me cry like a baby. I have been taking two kinds of antibiotics and still the infection has not broke. Pain is unbelievable, been 3 days. I have never ever had problems with infections before.

I am thinking my diabetes is the reason I cannot break this infection. I have had tight control of my sugars since Dx. Could this be a complication of this disease?
