Shooting in the dark...

I'm curious, does anyone do a good job take care of yourself "in the dark"? I mean, for quite a while, I wasn't testing (except maybe once every day or two), I watched what I ate, and did really well with taking my shots. (This was when I was on MDI.)

Now that I'm on the pump, I'm finding it much more difficult to get consistent numbers using this method. Has anyone had any "luck" doing it "in the dark"? I just can't to get it down like I used to.
