| OK, don't get me wrong. I know the drug companies are make lots of money off of this disease, but the government, private foundations and the like are pouring hundreds of millions upon millions into research for a cure.
I'm not saying that the drug companies are motivated in the same way, but organizations like JDRF are paving the way for this effort.
It's easy to get cynical with something this frustrating, especially when doctors and drug companies ARE benefiting from growth in their business through this thing running wild. I just don't see the research effort standing idle, that's all.
Call me an optimist if you want. I'm not giving up hope, ****it!!! |
