| that's weird... i was diagnosed with acid reflux and tried almost every prescription out there... my doctor told me it was caused by all the meds i was taking and, get this... told me to take zantac 150mg everyday to get rid of it...
granted, the ranitidine (generic name) helps a great deal, if i forget to take it one day, i'll pay for it the next day... until i see my gp or endo, i can't go low/no carb, so i'm kinda stuck here...
my sister, who is 9 months pregnant right now (gonna have a c-section friday morning - 6th kid), was told she has an ulcer but won't find out until after she's had the baby, she was told to take things like tums and malox, etc... otc stuff that's not really meds just milky antacid stuff... but she does it a lot of complex carbs, not just "empty" carbs... she eats very well and at 5'8" she's noramlly 140lbs (she's not diabetic), but i wonder if she went low/no carb perhaps her "ulcer" would go away...
