What? - I'm not normal?
I think I am quite normal - a normal diabetic, and I have been a normal diabetic for 35 years.
Okay, so most normal people do not use insulin daily, nor do they test blood sugars, but normal diabetics do that all the time.
Over the past 35 years, I bet I have used a blood test machine for only 18 years, and before that it was testape urine testing. So, that was normal diabetic back then.
You can feel depressed - but get over it real quick now.
There are a bunch of normal folk here at DF and we will make you feel quite normal amongst us.
Just to start - yes, I also have very high blood sugar tests from time to time. But, for guys, there is usually a very logical reason for the high blood sugar. For us guys, eating and insulin become quite predictable. However, I understand that for women, there are definitely different things that affect the predictable management of blood sugars.
Don't be so hard on what you are dealt. Play the cards and learn how to play them well - you will become quite normal, even with the handicap called diabetes.
