has she been recently diagnosed as a diabetic and is she type 1 or type 2, usually insulin injections means type 1 but you never know...

if she's new to this, it could be a "honeymoon" period when her pancreas is still producing insulin to some degree, but if she's not new to this, then she needs to get her hormone levels checked... taking "the pill" would be a good idea as well, since it regulates menstruation...

i was diagnosed when i was 15 and i tend to go up during that time of the month, but never extremely high... perhaps she needs to stay in the hospital for a week or so to get regulated in her dosing... a complete medical workup would be a good idea too... but i don't know about your financial situation or where you are so this is just ideas i'm giving here...

perhaps someone else can help more...
