I was diagnosed when i was 13. I dont remember ever having problems with fluctuations in sugar levels with periods.. and still dont but im on the pill now. Hormones have a lot to do with sugar levels, as does stress. A year or two after my diagnosis i was put on Thyroid medication which had a lot to do with irregular hormone levels; i have Hypothyroidism.
