Something else I get, without fail, is not just a general thirst but a real craving for tea. I think I've associated tea with being high from some stage in my life when I must have drunk a lot of tea while having generally elevated BG. It's funny because as soon as I think "hmm I really feel like a cup of tea" I know I am 12+ mmol/l.

I also assume it's something to do with the caffeine. I try not to have too much tea (caffeine being more pressure on BG and dehydrating) but one cup does calm me down and settle my stomach (even if it is just druggy effects). Anyone else have specific cravings like that?
