I used Humalog in my pumps from 1996 (when it became available) until earlier this year when I tried Novolog. I have found a difference, mostly in the reduction of my TDD. Also it tends to work faster than Humalog. However, if Novolog were no longer available from my insurance company I would go back to Humalog but not happily.

I change the reservoir and infusion set every three days so I have no experience with deterioration of the insulin.
