| Brown rice works for me in small quantities...but the only way you'll know if it works for you is by testing your blood sugar 2 hrs after your first bite....goal blood sugar then should be 140 or less.
That's why testing is so important...if you don't test, you have no way of knowing how different foods affect your blood sugar.
Many diabetics have high triglycerides at diagnosis.
You can buy a "generic" meter and strips at Walmart or your pharmacy. If you have insurance and your doctor writes an Rx for the strips, you'll just have a co-pay. Most doctors have meters in their office to give to you if you will ask.
