| Yannah,
Interesting to hear about B12 deficiency being linked to Metformin use. However as I understand it, our bodies require very little B12 and it is more normal for a vegan, not taking supplements to suffer from a B12 deficiency - don't get me wrong I'm not saying that this is not your problem, I am wondering if the cause of the problem might be your diet as opposed to the Metformin or possible a combination of the two.
I'm no expert (very far from it) on vitamins, but I believe that our bodies normally get B12 from things like eggs, dairy, fish, meat which is why some vegans experience problems.
Your calorie intake at 800 seems very low and I wonder if they food you are eating is providing the B12 or is the metformin impacting on very low levels of B12 that you are getting from food.
Do you mind me asking why your calorie intake is so low?
