| Hi, and welcome to DF. I am new as well. When I was first diagnosed, I went for a brisk 3 mile walk in the morning and my BG would go up 20 points. So I thought that exercise was no good!! Then I started on the eliptical at the gym and over a few months I can do 9 miles in an hour. Now my BG can drop from 160+ to below 100 on a regular basis.
Bread- I like Ezekiel bread from Trader Joes. No flour, low GI.
