I used to use the ultra flex but quit because they do in fact hurt because the needle is so thick to get that canula in.
Now I use the Rapid D 6MM which is just the needle inside you, no tube inside. These hurt very little and they stick well to me without any other prep work.

On the left of this page, there is a section for each infusion set. Also, there is a link on the right that says Infusion Set Selection Tool. Check those out and see if you can find a better set.
