| Hi princess Linda. I am 33, married and have one daughter who is 5. My wife's brother has been type 1 since he was a teenager so she is taking it all in stride.
As for managing, I ate alot of sweets (candy specifically) so my first step was cutting that back. My doctor is going to put me on metformin but I am first trying to get an understanding of my blood sugar levels so I am testing myself throughout the day. In the meantime, I have started exercising more frequently and am trying to get more fibre into my diet. Maybe you can guys can help me out. I have spending alot of time on the internet (how I can across this site) trying to learn as much as I can. I see that there is many different fibre supplements that you can add to your diet. Things like metamucil, PGX, glucomannan. Do any of these things work or help? Or maybe something I have not heard about?
it would be great to get some answers before I spend any money. |
