My sympathy and gentle hugs!

I haven't heard of a particular relationship between weak bones and diabetes. You might want to ask your endo or orthopedic specialist.

My daughter (who was diagnosed with diabetes just before she turned 9) managed to break metatarsals on both feet 2 years later -- first one when dancing around the living room, then the other when she was running with her cast on (she was playing tag with friends and said she didn't want to be caught -- LOL -- something only a child would do with a cast on!). I asked the orthopedist if there was a relationship with diabetes and he said no.
