I am not a big breakfast eater. I also find that, for me, under 10 carbs works best. I generally have either a Premier Nutrition protein shake (available in chocolate or a protein shake made with Trader Joe's Designer Whey protein powder, which I mix with almond milk. (Because the Designer Whey only provides 18 grams of protein, I often use two scoops, instead of one.)

Atkins also makes a line of low-carb (3-6 grams of carbs, including fiber) drinks that I buy on occasion. I prefer the Premier Nutrition, which has less sunflower/safflower oil, so as to try to keep my ratio of omega-3s to omega-6s better in line.

Both the Premier Nutrition and the Atkins shakes travel well. I keep a bunch in my office.
