What kind of carbs are you eating? You need to look at the kinds of carbs you are eating.

How much were you eating, and how much have you reduced. Dependingn on your starting point, you may need to reduce your carb intake even more. For example, if you used to eat 5 slices of white bread every meal, reducing it to 3 slices would not be enough.

Keep a food journal so you can keep track of what you are eating. I don't count carbs, but from testing, keeping a food journal and a lot of trial, error and observation, I know that I can't eat more than 3 tablespoons of rice at any meal.
