| I hope I'm reading your post wrong, but it almost sounded like you were calling me a liar. I am prone to episodes of hypo- it's what got me diagnosed in the first place. I managed to hit 45 after the OGTT. (That was fun- not). It most likely was a reactive hypo as I have been running higher than normal all week, probably from stress and sleep deprivation from starting my student teaching.
I only treated with one at first because I don't want to overtreat. Then when it dipped lower I did the full 4 that I was told to do by the CDE. The each have 4 grams and the standard rule is treat with 15 grams carbs, wait 15 minutes, test, then repeat if necessary. That is exactly what I did, except the first time I didn't use 15 grams figuring I wouldn't need that much.
