Ha then, I'm glad I found something new to post! It is very interesting how pigs are so similar internally and metabolically to human beings. I almost feel bad for eating them

I would imagine our cave man ancestors ate a lot of meat, probably mammoth, and small ground animals. I'm sure a bit of fowl and fish. Berries, fruits, and whatever "veggies" they found to graze on. I am certain they didn't eat Ding Dongs, Ho Ho's, potato chips, pizza or fried rice, to name a few of my DH's former favorite foods.

I did watch one of the tv clips of Michael Pollan. It is interesting how we've killed ourselves with our "modern" foods. I for one, can never touch another bite of that stuff, knowing what I know now. Yetch. No wonder my Grandma lived to be 90, she wasn't around to experience much of that.
