not to stand out here..as the advice above is good and sound, however, i was CONVINCED i had a dawn phenom working my morning numbers...testing thru the night helped to clarify this...instead it was a steady rise..a discrepancy of liver vs. pancreas, with a spike right around 3 am..would have never known this if i hadn't tested through the night...adding a basal (only 2 days ago) has made a tremendous difference overall for me..granted I'm not resistant as type 2's are, but it is a lesson learned...make sure you know what you are treating...good luck!
