... I want to add something about side effects. I think that perhaps the headaches I get might not be related to my blood sugar level after all. I have this pounding in my head even when I'm between 6 and 7 now. It's annoying because a headache would make me check BG but now, it's all the time, whether BG is 4.9, 6.5 or 8.5 ACK!! Still monitoring to see if there is a pattern to these headaches (they are more like pounding). Now would I stop taking Metformin because of this? I really don't know.
