| i actually like the soda idea as suggested above...also hot tea...i'd try for a snack before the 4:30 crazy time...maybe by about 45 min or so, that way you feel satiated before your body requests carbs...as for the late night...I go for sf jello...and see if you can redirect that crazy pacing feeling to a brisk walk or shower (i kid you not...this really helped me in the past b/c sometimes the dessert thing is a mental reward for ending the day...now a shower can do the same)...of course there is always gum to ease with anxiety eating...
good for you for trying so hard! hang in, it does get easier..(most of the time! we all have our moments)
