We have ALL been there. Exactly where you are, right this second.
You must take charge of your body. Form some kind of game plan, and plan your meals, and try not to deviate from that schedule.
I gained a bit of weight after I started injecting insulin. I am not a big guy, but I did notice.
Ultimately, whether or not you gain weight, is up to you. It will just be a bit of a battle. Don't make this condition dictate to you.

Take advantage of that, and don't be afraid to ask questions.
Sometimes diabetes feels like a mass of marble with which you are only given a plastic knife to chip away at. It's frustrating, but you need to ditch the plastic knife, and get yourself some dynamite.
