I know that Precision Xtra and also Accu-chek both offer patient assistance programs for those who can't afford the strips. You have to tell them you need assistance, I think. I'll bet One Touch offers the same thing. Most have a fairly generous allowable income limit.

A phone call will get you set up. Just google for their 800 numbers.
