Angry horrible BG day.....

Who has days like this: I woke up at 179,which is not good, went to work at 4:30am, tested at about 7 and was at 218 DP maybe, it doesn't usually happen???? I corrected with 5 units humalog, tested at 8:45 was at 96 at a breakfast bagel sandwich which I guessed at 40g of carbs, took 5 units humalog again along with my usual 23u of Levemir. I then dropped like a rock to 30 and had no obvious symtoms Ate a snack and skyrocked to 242 all by 11:30am And the day has continuod this viscious cycle, LOW HIGH LOW HIGH. I just need to know that everyone else has days like this because it's killing me.....
