My insurance just recently changed my formulary so my co-pay for my onetouch strips went up. I have been a onetouch user for my entire diabetic life and was heart broken that I had to switch to save money. BUT I've been using an accu-check aviva for about 3 weeks now and I really love it. I really like the fact that the vials of test strips come in quantity of 100. I also like that you have a chip to code the meter instead of having to do it yourself. I went from one touch ultra to ultra smart to ultra mini, and while my aviva isn't as small as the ultra mini (and not as cute in hot pink

) it's getting the job done. I also ordered a freestyle lite and I hate it. Those strips are stupid in my opinion. The only nice thing about it is the fact that it has a LED light to light up the test strip area. Although, I never find myself wishing my meter had one. One thing I do wish my aviva had was a lit up display screen.
Anyone know anything about accucheck software? Do they offer it, is it any good? I didn't think the one touch software was very user friendly....
